BOTTOM SWING KEEL FITTING - RL28
The above gave up the ghost yesterday.

I will have to replace it and at this stage intend to use a shackle.

Can anyone please advise me of the thickness of the swing keel at the location of the bottom fitting?

I will also replace the rope with ss chain.

Alternative suggestions are welcome.
Thanks

Re: BOTTOM SWING KEEL FITTING - RL28
Hi malcom, I have just replaced the keel cable on Riga. The thicknes of the keel section at the shackle is 20mm. I found that the standard shackle does not fit into the keelcase. I can give you more info on my email tedashton@optusnet.com.au. regards ted
