RL24 Sail Area Calculator V1.0 Help File.

This program was written gratis for the RL24 Association of Australia
by Hugh V.G.Hetherington, to assist fellow RLians in determining their
sail area. It is written in accordance with with the simplified extract
from the Australian Yachting Federation Racing Rules 1973-77, Appendum E,
Section IV, as appended in the class rules. As such, applicability is 
not just restricted to RL24's. It can also be used by any other yacht
class also governed by these rules. Note that the use of this program
does not replace an official measurement.

It is designed to measure either your mainsail or foresail. A calculator 
for spinnackers will be created if enough expressions of interest are 
received.

Inputting your metric measurements in the format (metres.millimetres)
will give a result in square metres. Thus 5 metres 24 centimetres and
5 millimetres should be input as 5.245. 

Currently, The program has no input validation routines. Thus
the expression "garbage in, garbage out" applies. If enough interest
is expressed in the program, I may create them at a later date.

The program has been tested on versions of Internet Explorer 6.0.
and Opera 7.11. It may, or may not, be suitable for other versions 
or browsers.
