Replying to:RL28 Mast and sail setup
We have just purchased an RL28, and the mast is severely swept back. When sheeted on hard, the boom is almost touching the cabin roof at the stern end. Is this normal ?? I would have expected the boom to be almost parallell to the cabin roof while sailing. Is the severe backward rake of the mast causing the boom to droop so much ?? Any suggestions for the best self furler brand, need one to allow setting of all size of headsail.
