Hull thickness
How thick is the fibreglass on the hull bottom and sides?. One of my trailer rollers has left a scratch thru the gelcoat about 2m long.

Hull thickness.
David. The RL24 hulls were quite strongley built. In way of the Keel and 100 mm each side the hull would be approx 12 mm thick. In way of the bottom up to the turn of the bilge 8 mm tapering to 5 mm in the top sides. Woven rovings were used thru out in the second pass. The Gell coat would only be about one half mm thick. If your scratch is only in the Gell coat there will be no weakening of the laminate.
