Replying to:Fractured Mast Tabernacle
I have just noticed a 3 inch fracture on the tabernacle or base on which the mast of my RL24 sits. This U shaped base holds the hinge and pin for the rotating mast. The base seems to be made of an aluminium alloy.

Closer inspection indicates that there may have previously been a welding repair on the same side as the fracture.

In view of this I am uneasy about having this 'new' fracture welded. I would prefer to get a new base but would think that they are no longer available.

I live at Brisbane and any advice would be greatly appreciated.
