RL28 Specified versus actual weight
Hi, There is a specification of something like 1.38 tons for a new RL28. What was included with that weight, eg mast, Boom, Sails etc.

I just took mine over the weighbridge and it was 2.58 ton with the trailer which says it has a TARE of 500kg.

regards

Re: RL28 Specified versus actual weight
Alistair,
I would agree with your estimate. My boat, when new and all fitting-out completed, registered just under 2 tonne on the crane weight gauge with all sailing gear and rigging but no personal items and empty tanks. Of course, over the 25 years, the extra "useful" items probably added another tonne!

The weights on the website refer to hull weights.
