RL24 advice
I have a crack on the outboard well rear vertical edge as shown in the pic. It seems that this "vee" has been deliberately put there. As this often gets stood on while stepping onto the boat, I would like to glass it back up without the "vee". Do other RL 24's have this, and what is it for?

Re: RL24 advice
Can't think of any reason why that V is there haven't seen it on any RL24's before and I have been around the class since 70's. I would glass it up.

Re: RL24 advice
Looks like it's been punched by the leg of an outboard although it could also be a notch cut for some kind of mast holder to hold it centre. If you don't want it, glass it.

Re: RL24 advice
Add a significant reduction in bending capability to a stress raiser .. not a good idea to put notches here and there willy nilly.
