RL"s Southeast Queensland
We now have 7 RL24's racing on the Gold Coast and was wondering what the feeling was about getting together either on Morton Bay or on the Coast or both, for all RL's to run a series of races? The Blazers run a Go To Blazers regatta on the coast and in Noosa and thought we could do something similar. What are your thoughts? Southport Yacht Club have the Commodores Cup coming up on the 3rd & 4th of May 2008 which we can use to start this off if keen. Plaese let me know. Kelvin 0414 606 238

Whoa back, Kevin. You're treading on hallowed ground.
The May long weekend is the Bay to Bay. Come and join us.

Cheers

Re: RL
Charlie Brown would be in (but please, not when the Bay to Bay is on). We (like Apache and Touche) are based at Noosa. Maybe a Weekend at the Gold Coast, followed by a weekend at Noosa? Lets catch up and see what might be possible.

Re: RL
Sorry guys forgot B2B was on that weekend I think Chill Out is coming up again, unfortunately I won't be as our Yacht Club is pushing the the class racing for next season down here, Blazers, RL24, Etchells & then the rest, so my focus is to get our RL fleet out in force for the Commodores Cup so we can class race rather than yardstick which we have been doing. ( hope you understand ). It would be awesome to get something going though, lets keep in touch and make RL,s the way of the future.

Re: RL
Hi kelvin sounds like a good idear only I am going to the B2B this year, I went down to Mannering Park last Christmas for the RL nationals and had a great 9 race series I think the next nationals are going to be at the same place keep your eye on the website for details(this event was a week long get together with like minded RL sailers as we all stayed in the same caravan park) it has also been sugested as there is a growing number of active boats in QLD, that we try to encourage as many QLD boats to attend the next championships and the association would then be very keen to bring the titals in the near future to QLD but this would only happen if we could guarantee 10 or so QLD boats, what do you think, by the way I sail out of MBTBC on Mk1 called slyfox (great club)
