Just turn up, there is no entry fee(contrary to the newsletter)the secretary, treasurer & president have all decided not to have an entry fee so we attempt to get more boats on the water. You must be a member of the RL24 association to compete.
We are thinking about making the trip up to Lake Macquarie for the National titles this year with Parahandy. In view of the then legal changes made to my boat 20 odd years ago, could you possibly arrange to have a measurer check her out and if possible, issue her with a measurement certificate.
I would be much obliged if you could send me a notice of race and an entry form?
To anyone that may be thinking about going to the nationals I would highly recommend it.I have been going to the championships with my family for over 13 years initialy as a crew and for the last three with my own boat and my kids as crew.It is a great family and racing week. Many familys have been in the class since it started, sailing with the third generation on board.Racing is extremely competitive at the top of the fleet and heeps of fun is experinced with close raceing throughout the rest of the fleet.Three divisons are raced; Drop keels,Swing keels, and Cruising. The freindships that my family and I have built by being involved in the RL24 nationals will be for ever and we all look forward to the nationals each year.Lets get as many RL24's to the event as possible, this is the first time in about 7 years that it has been in NSW making it more accessable to QLDers and NSWers,we will always see the majority of VICs travel so lets make it a big one and join the fun of sailing national championships.Boats can be measure at the nationals by the class measurers who will be there,a copy of the class rules can be downloaded from the RL24 Owners association of Australia website.
See you at the nationals
