|I am considering buying an RL28 that has been sadly neglected in recent years by its 85-year-old owner. Needs an internal refit, which is fine - what I'm concerned about is the shaft-drive Sole diesel, which looks in very rough condition though still runs. |
Has anyone had experience with this arrangement, relating to maintenance, reliability, performance and costs? Also any ideas as to what era it would be, since more recent examples mention a Volvo saildrive.
