It was mainly a high wind series which suited the RL24. The Sonata 8 who finished 5th overall broached and sank in the last race when she was carrying a spinnaker in 30 knots of wind!!!

Re: Skandia Geelong Week Trailer Yacht Series Final Results.
Hi Alistar & Rob
Thanks for the report on Geelong Week, I have never sailed this regatta before and realy enjoyed it, there is a great party atmosphere around the yacht club/marina it was great to catch up with the RL sailers again after the nationals. We all stayed on the boats rafted up in the marina and had a ball. The last 2 races were sailed in strong winds which suited the RLs and we were able to put the score on the board with the corrected time in the last race only separating Whatever and Ohua Rua by 2 seconds. I would encourage other RL owners to put this weekend on their calender for next year and have a fun weekend away with other RLers. Being rolled over the top of, by big keel boats such as Wild Oats, Skandia Wild Thing and the like was a new experience for me the speed of these boats is awsome.Hope to see more RL24s there next year and show the fleet some force. We had many comments over the weekend that people didn't know RLs could go like that.
Thanks Rob & Alistar
