Interchangable Sails
I've just purchased an RL24 with some pretty dodgy sails & I'm trying to find out what sails are interchangable with an RL24 without many modifications.

Interchangable sails

John i have found that 16ft skiff sails fit with a small amount of modifications No2 mains fit but they are very roachy the cost of modifing can be prohibative our rl24 has pretty ordinary sails we aquired a No2 jib and main we have not modified the main because of cost of full modification but the jib fits great and just puting a new jib on increace's performance no end so much so we are waiting to get main if you want more info just email me Chris

sails and rig
I believe you can buy a whole 16 footer rig (mast sails and boom ) when they are tossing a slow one out at the end of the season, and that you fit them to your boat and forget about the backstay. The man to cut them down to size is Justin Mitchel on Lake Macquarie NSW.

Thanx for the tip, it's very much appreciated :) Looks like I'll be haunting the 16 Footers at Belmont looking for a used rig, lol.
