Replying to:Painting interior of RL28 cabin
I am in the process of ripping the mouldy carpet off the interior of my boat, partly because I think it is causing my girl friend hayfever and partly because it is grotty. I'm thinking the best solution will be to paint it, I'm happy to live with the finish of the fibreglass moulding but I'm not sure what the best finish would be. Some "experts" tell me gloss will be too glarey, others that gloss highlights surface imperfections, yet others say it is ideal. Of course there is also the option of matt or semi gloss. Any comments on surface preparation or type of finish to use would be welcome. Terry
