Joshua Slocum`s, `Sailing Alone Around the World`
While not directly related to RLs, this famous book is worth reading by anyone who loves sailing. After not being able to find it in the local library, I discovered it is in the public domain and available on the web. I have assembled it, with all the original pictures, into a PDF (2 MB - 115 pages) that can be printed on A4 or read on-line.

To download to your PC, right-click here, select Save Target As... and choose where to save the file.

A great idea Keith, and an interesting story, although I am still scratching my head as to how Slocum did construct his boat.
If it was built over the old bones of the origonal boat, why did he steam bend the timbers over a log,and it must have been a difficult job lifting the origonal up to fit the new keel underneath, also with a tumble home aft ,how to lift out the old shell.
Still scratching my head.
