Bay to Bay
It's nearly that time of year again; Bay to Bay nominations should be in before April 14 to get the cheaper rate. And all the cyclones will be gone by then. This year there's a change to Class Based Handicap with variation based on previous B to B history. More details on the Hervey Bay Sailing Club web site.
It's got to be just about the best weekend of sailing and socialising on the calendar. Some people even try to make a race of it.
How many starters for this year?
Hart Beat will be there and I expect Chinook, Mistress, Canuk, Touche, Apache and RebeL to join the party. Any others?

Ambuscade2 is going!!! not as serious as some but we have taken the cruising stuff out and dispatched one of the crew to the support boat, shedding 200 kilos!!! Now theres room for more beer.

Re: Bay to Bay
We will be making the long trek north with High Spirits for the B2B this year again, last year a great learning exercise with tides, lots of boats & no wind. Hope to catch up with some of you blokes up there.By the way, '06 Keepit Kool regatta is on for the June longweekend if anyone interested.

Re: Bay to Bay
There are 23 RL24's entered in the 2006 Bay to Bay. This is as at 20th April 2006, 171 boats entered in total so far. Hope the weather is kind to us again this year. Looking forward to seeing you all on the water as it should be a fantastic two days.

Re: Bay to Bay
Have you seen the forecast?
We could be looking at last year all over again.
Bring plenty of fuel, cards, fishing lines, bait, a good book, whatever.
Cheers
Mike
