Well done Kingsley, but I would think that it is important to also describe what you did with the lower shrouds to stop the mast from slewing from side to side when half way up.
From what I can remember you had some adventures up north with your boat about twenty years ago, they would be well worth retelling.
It is good to hear of you again after so long.

Hi Rob,
to stabilise the mast as it is raised we have fitted short shrouds to the mast and to brackets which align the pivot point with the mast pivot. The shrouds and bracket can be clearly scene in the fifth photo. The shroud length should be such that the mast can be moved forward without haveing to disconnect them. e.g. if the mast has to be moved 3 metres forward for transporting then the shrouds need to be attached to the mast at least 1.5 metres from the base.
