capacity labels
From September, all boats in Qld will need to show a passenger capacity label. What is the passenger capacity of an RL24?
Touche had 16 on board for a brief cockpit party recently, which may be an RL record, but I don't think the 16 number would wash with maritime safety.
Do we just pick a number, say 6, and then wing it from there?
Cheers
Mike

Re: capacity labels
This was introduced in Tasmania 4-5 years ago. We received the label in the mail with a chart calculating the capacity on the length and beam of your boat.

Re: capacity labels
RL24 = 8 people
RL28 = 9 people
The chart is is used to calculate both motor boats and Yachts

Re: capacity labels
Thanks, Jason
Sounds more acceptable to Maritime Safety than 19.
19! must have been very good friends. Did the self-draining cockpit start to become self-filling?
