Spring yachts
I was recently talking to a friend who was looking to upgrade his present trailer yacht and found a Spring 25 trailer yacht for sale in South Australia.I was surprised to see on the specs that Robb Legg was nominated as the designer. I was of the belief that the Spring 25 had originated in Britain. I would be most appreciative if anyone can confirm or deny this information and also supply some greater detail on the Spring 25 if indeed it is a Rob Legg design

Re: Spring yachts
Oh my god, the world infamous SabreMan on our humble ole RL site. Needed to find an excuse to spy on the upper crust old mate:) Or are you secretly searching for an RL?

Greg H.
Its the first I have heard of a Spring 25 so It is certain that I had nothing to do with the design of the boat.

Re: Spring yachts
Not sure who gave you that advice about Rob Legg designing them, but it is not correct.
The boat was designed by Tony Castro in the UK in the early 80's and many were built in England and mainly sold in England & Europe. They were then built under licence in QLD by a person who got other companies to do the layup, mast, sails, fitting, etc. He built 11? of them. He told me that the hull and deck was layed up by Rob Leg.
