Replying to:Seeking a replacement fairlead for RL28 (anchor chain lead)
I have a rather large and growing crack in the lead (over the bow) for the anchor chain. We used to call these "fairleads" but I'm not sure of the correct title - the pointiest part of the pointy end. Approx 15 - 20 cm long, fan shaped in plan, made of some cast / alloy, tapering at bow end to a raised fairing with a roller mounted therein. I guess there are 2 questions - where to get a replacement and how to fit. Has anyone had a similar problem / performed this operation? Any tricks?
