Mainsheet Traveller
I have been cruising for some time now in an RL24M111. Recently inspired to twilight race I am interested to convert my floor mounted main sheet U bolt to a travelling system to point higher & become more competetive. I would appreciate any racing knowledge as to which system & parts would best suit my boat. At the moment there are slots in my cockpit seats that have jam cleats in them that look like they would take a travelling system if the cleats were removed. Brands & part No's of parts would be appreciated.

Re: Mainsheet Traveller
http://www.ronstan.com.au/marine/ is a good source of information.

Look under information/mainsheet, information traveller etc.

Part numbers etc are included.

My yacht INMA has a Harken system but from what I can see, the ronstan stuff is just as good and 1/2 the price. INMA's traveller track is raised above the moulded slot to provide extra clearance for the car.

If you tell us where you live, someone with a similar yacht to yours might offer to let you look at their setup. It makes figuring it out easier.

Thanks for your input Greg, I'll certainly have a look at the ronstan site. We've moved to Airlie Beach nearly a year ago & are enjoying the brilliant blue waters of the tropical north.
