Cracks appearing in cockpit area (RL24)
Hi, I have some cracks appearing in the floor of the cockpit area and would appreciate if someone who has experience with this and repairing them could advise me on how to overcome the problem. I have attached a photo for your visual reference. At this stage the cracks do not appear to go all the way through.

Keith. Judging by the non skid pattern and the shape of the crazes you own a Mk1 or Mk2 built some 30 years ago. the material under the glass is form core ,which forms 100 mm squares of unsuported laminate, and over the years the flexing and ultraviolet damage has caused the problem ,but it will only have efected the gel coat. the best solutiun would be to grind off half of the gel coat and lay some light weight FG cloth with resin over the floor, then recoat with flow coat. Good luck. Rob Legg.
